On Monday 11 November, students and staff from Harlow College and Stansted Airport College had the opportunity to pay their respects at the College’s Remembrance Event, held to commemorate the signing of the armistice between the Allies of World War I and Germany, for the cessation of hostilities.

The Rt Hon Robert Halfon, former Minister of State for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education for the Department for Education, and former MP for Harlow, has officially started his new role as Chair of Stansted Airport College (STAC) Advisory Group.

Officers from Stansted Airport Community Policing Team visited Stansted Airport College on Thursday 19 September to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and knife crime.

Harlow College has been selected as one of ten schemes to receive funding from the Government's Reach for the Sky Challenge Fund. The College was the first Further Education College to establish a further education college, Stansted Airport College, at a major UK airport and who have been instrumental in the establishment of the College Aviation Network.

The magic of Christmas came early to Stansted Airport College when Santa and his elves dropped by on their way to the North Pole to spread some festive cheer.

Stansted Airport College celebrated its fifth anniversary by hosting the annual Student Celebration Awards on Friday 23 June, to recognise the outstanding achievements of its trainees since opening its doors in September 2018.

The annual Great Dunmow Soapbox Race took place on Sunday 30th April, with the 30,000 plus crowd witnessing 97 teams battle it out to be crowned champion of the prestigious race.
