The programme supports you in transitioning into the workplace and is focused on developing a broad range of skills used in Industry. It is primarily aimed at individuals that have finished Sixth Form and are keen to transition into sustainable employment at Stansted Airport.
We will assist you with the application process for various roles across the airport and will also give you various opportunities to develop your interview skills and gain valuable work experience.
You need to have 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9. This programme is aimed at sixth form/college leavers so it is expected individuals will have either A-levels or a Level 3 programme.
You will ideally be 18 years old but the minimum age is 17 years old.
This programme is a stepping stone into a career within your chosen area. You can progress to an apprenticeship or alternatively, with the skills you develop whilst on this programme, you can progress directly into employment.
The programme is fully funded if you are aged 17 or 18 before 31 August 2018. However, if you are aged 19 or over you will need to fund the programme yourself.
A Pre-Apprenticeship programme prepares you for further training as an apprentice.
In some sectors an apprenticeship is not essential in order to pursue a career in which a work transition programme enables you to transition directly into full or part-time employment. As part of the work transition programme you will still have the opportunity to gain further skills and qualifications through an apprenticeship programme if required by the employer.
