What's it all about?:

The Level 2 Skills for Logistics course will give you the knowledge, understanding and skills required in logistics to support progression to employment, an apprenticeship or to further study at a higher level.

How long is the course?:

1 year – minimum 3 days a week

How much does it cost?:

There is a range of financial support that you may be entitled to, including: Learner Support funds, grants and bursaries and employer support.

Additional course costs of approx. £100 a year will apply. This will cover the cost of educational visits, textbooks, guest speakers etc.

What will I do?:

You will study approximately 10 units that include the following:

  • Environmental Impact of Logistics
  • Logistics Project
  • Moving & Handling Goods Manually
  • Picking and Distributing Goods
  • Receiving and Storing Goods
  • Route Planning
  • Security in Logistics
  • Stock Control
  • Working Safely in Logistics
  • Customer Service

Employability and Interview skills will be developed as part of the course structure.

The qualification is made up of coursework.

Additional Info:

Assessment is by coursework assignments, formative and summative assessment.

Formal interview with teaching team of department following application.

You will study this course at STAC, where you will be line of sight of the industry you will be studying.
